PURPOSE:To cut the unnecessary end part of a continuously conveyed sheet member with good accuracy by providing a position detector, etc. for detecting the end face position of a work so that the unnecessary end of the work can be cut to a desired width. CONSTITUTION:A titled device consists of a laser oscillator 1, a working head 6 provided with a condenser lens 7 and a mirror 3, a position detector 8, a driving motor 5 for moving the head 6 and a control device 9. Said detector 8 is provided integrally with the head 6 and detects the end face position of a work 10. The device 9 is inputted with the signal from the detector 8 and controls the motor 5 so that the unnecessary end in the side part of the moving work 1 is cut to a desired width. The unnecessary end part of a continuously conveyed sheet member 10 is cut with good accuracy by the above-mentioned device. |
