PURPOSE:To accomplish cutting, with clear section, of a viscoelastic material without getting out of shape by putting a cutting edge to reciprocating movement in the horizontal direction when this cutting edge is made to descend to cut the above viscoelastic material under pressing. CONSTITUTION:In a cutting system to cut under pressing a viscoelastic material of continuous length carried on a conveyor 3 through the lowering of a cutting edge 4, a holder 6 for the cutting edge 4 is put to reciprocating movement in the horizontal direction. Specifically, the holder 6 is made movable along a bar 5 provided parallel with said cutting edge 4, and a cam 9 is located between a pair of guide walls 8 fitted on the holder 6 and rotated, thus accomplishing fine reciprocating motion in the horizontal direction. |
