RECOVERY METHOD OF HYALURONIC ACID

A method for recovering hyaluronic acid(HA) comprises (a) adding 5- 20% of polyethylenglycol and 9-50% of phosphate salts to the soln. contg. HA; (b) forming water-soluble two-phase; (c) recovering the HA from the lower phase. The method gives better yield than the ethanolic precipitation procedure. HA is useful as a skin protecting agent.
