PURPOSE:To provide a fluorinated hydrocarbon azeotropic and pseudo-azeotropic mixture useful as an alternate CFC by comprising 1-chloro-2,2,3,3- tetrafluoropropane and 1,1,2-trichloro-2,2-difluoroethane. CONSTITUTION:A fluorinated hydrocarbon azeotropic and pseudo-azeotropic mixture comprises 1-chloro-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropane (R244ca) and 1,1,2- trichloro-2,2-difluoroethane (R122). The mixture is preferably an azeotropic mixture comprising 63-99wt.% of the R244ca and 1-37wt.% of the R122, especially approximately 83wt.% of the R244ca and approximately 17wt.% of the R122. The mixture is nonflammable and has the same or more excellent characteristics as or than those of CFCs. Since the mixture has an azeotropic point, the mixture does not cause any change of the composition thereof when recycled, can be used in the same manner as the CFCs and does not require the wide change of techniques for the use. The mixture is preferable as a cleansing solvent. |
