<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of picture quality by defining difference between the frames of a luminance signal after Y/C separation by a comb line filter as the main component of a motion detecting signal for the luminance signal and utilizing the difference between the frames of the luminance signal extracted from a chrominance signal after the Y/C separation as an auxiliary second motion detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:By defining a first motion detecting signal DELTAY based on the difference between adjacent frames of the luminance signal after the removal of the chrominance signal by comb line filters 3 and 4 as the main component of the motion detecting signal for the luminance signal, the erroneous detection of motion not to really exist with the leak-in of the chrominance signal is effectively avoided. By defining a second motion detecting signal deltaY based on the difference between the adjacent frames of a video signal after the Y/C separation by the comb line filters 3 and 4 as the auxiliary motion detecting signal, the fault of a case to use only the first motion detecting signal DELTAY is complemented. Thus, the degradation of the picture quality is prevented.</p> |
