PURPOSE:To insert a pipe easily without trouble at a curved section by using a pipe with shape retention properties in which tensile resistant reinforcing lines are buried, introducing high temperature fluid into said pipe to heat and soften the same, pulling the same from one end, inserting the same into another pipe to be lined, and then expanding the inserted pipe body by means of the raised pressure of high temperature fluid and adhering the same to the inner face of the pipe to be lined. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 is heated up to the temperature slightly higher than the softening temperature of resin of the pipe, for example, around 80-95 deg.C in case of vinyl chloride, from the inner face side by introducing high temperature fluid such as steam. Then, while said heat softened state is retained, the pipe 1 is pulled by a cable 4 such as a wire or a rope connected with one end of the pipe through a connection fittings 3 to be drawn into another pipe A to be lined and inserted therein all through its whole length. The pipe 1 is so retained as to contain its tensile resistant reinforcing lines 2 by the connecting fittings 3, and pulling force is applied directly to the reinforcing lines 2 by the cable 4. The pipe 1 is expanded in the radius direction by increasing internal pressure and adhered to the inner face of the pipe A to be lined. |
