Overpackaging for audio or video support, of the type comprising a plastic base 1 generously dimensioned with respect to the support, with a receptacle whose shape is adapted to that of the packaged support, characterised in that it comprises a system for locking the packaged support 2 into its receptacle, the said receptacle including a bottom 4 and four sides, at least one of which consists of a movable plate 8 articulated on the base 1 and which is applied flat against one of the sides of the packaging of the support under the action of at least one immobilising member 10 which cannot be removed once in place. This overpackaging is more particularly applicable to audio cassettes and compact discs. <IMAGE>
