The invention consists in an electronic circuit allowing the constant power charging of a capacitor 2, in a so-called "resonant pump" arrangement. It comprises a chopping circuit 6 and 7, in the form of a half-bridge for example, a series resonant circuit C-(4) and a rectifying cell 3 and 2. The circuit can operate as self-oscillator and can include systems allowing regulation of the charging voltage.
