PURPOSE:To improve the speediness of photography by stopping automatic zooming operation and performing a specific release sequence preferentially when a release swhitch is turned on during the automatic zooming operation. CONSTITUTION:This camera has an automatic zooming means 51 which operates an automatic zooming mechanism, a release state detecting means 53 which detects the release switch of the camera being turned on, and a sequence control means 52. Then the sequence control means 52 quits the automatic zooming operation of the camera and give the specific sequence priority when the release state detecting means 53 detects the release switch of the camera being turned on even while the camera is put in the automatic zooming operation by the automatic zooming means 51. Thus, the automatic zooming operation is not performed preferentially, so a release time lag is shortened by the operation time. Consequently, the speediness of photography is improved. |
