The hollow walls of a box type structure are formed during an injection process by the location of inserts perpendicular to the base. The slender inserts are held in position during injection by horizontally adjustable rods. Measurement of the pressure within the tool during injection is continuously made and at a given point the rods are retracted until their faces are aligned with the external surfaces of the box.
