A tumble-drier has an inner space (13) which is accessible via a door (11) and which receives laundry. Hot steam air (60) on the one hand from the inner space (13) and a cooling medium on the other hand can be led into a condenser (40). The air (60) and the cooling medium are brought together in the condenser (40) in order to cool the air (60). In order to ensure that the tumble-drier has the smallest possible external dimensions in relation to the useful inner space (13), and in order to be able easily to open the condenser (40) or remove it from the tumble-drier for cleaning purposes, the condenser (40) is incorporated in the door (11) (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
