摘要

PURPOSE: To detect existence of analyte in a sample by employing aβ- galactosidase complementary fractions defined as enzyme acceptor(EA) and enzyme donor(ED) and forming a complex of active enzyme upon binding. CONSTITUTION: One ofβ-galactosidase complementary fractions is bound to a water absorbing surface while the other is conjugated with an epitope which is cross-reactive immunologically to a ligand analyte or complementary to a receptor analyte. Existence of an enzyme fraction conjugate not forming a complex is measured as a result of separation of an enzyme conjugate forming a complex from that not forming a complex or identification thereof on a water absorbing member.
