PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality regenerative signal without causing such a problem as a change or destruction of the state of a recording film due to reproducing power by pulse-modulating a beam of a laser, etc., and irradiating an optical disk with the modulated beam. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reproducing, the optical disk is irradiated with the pulse-modulated laser beam 2. Under this condition, when marks 3 and 3' are regenerated, detecting signals to be obtained are as waveforms 4 and 4', and wave height values 5 and 5' at this time are high values in accordance with the reproducing power. The regenerative signal obtained by passing an original signal for the above through a detector and a low pass filter which is usually used is as a waveform 6. This waveform 6 is a demodulated signal corresponding to V1-V2, having a high value according to the reproducing power. By this method, without causing the problem such as a change or destruction of the state of the recording film due to the reproducing power, the high quality regenerative signal can be obtained. |
