<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being slackened immediately after a cassette is mounted on a reel base or immediately before it is withdrawn from the reel base by providing a forced brake mechanism to at least one side of either a supply reel or a take-up reel under the operating state of a front loading mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Under the operating state of the front loading mechanism, a brake member 56 is turned by a mode changeover cam 32, a cam 53 and a pinch lever 48, and hence a brake pad 59 is forcibly pressed against a gear 15a of the reel base 15. Consequently, when the front loading mechanism is operated, the rotation of the reel base 15 on the take-up side is regulated, and when the cassette is loaded, the tape can not be drawn out from the side of the supply reel base. In addition, the forced brake can be applied to the supply reel base. By this method, the slackening of the tape is prevented from occurring when the cassette is engaged with a reel shaft or when it is withdrawn from the reel shaft.</p> |
