PURPOSE:To easily prevent the occurrence of disorder in a joint of a picture after VTR has been restarted, by controlling the rotation of the capstan, etc., and making a magnetic tape run in reverse when the capstan has stopped temporarily. CONSTITUTION:When a temporary stop button 27 is operated, a temporary stop mode is stored in a memory circuit 28, a high level signal is applied to timing circuits 29, 30 from the circuit 28, and the circuits 29, 30 generate the pulses having width corresponding to the reverse running time T1 and the time T2 required from the stop release point to the recording restart point, respectively. A capstan 3 is rotated in reverse through the circuit 29 and capstan motor driving circuit 31, a tape 1 is made to run in reverse for the time T1 at a speed of (a) times as fast as a constant speed, and after that, a pinch roller 5 is separated from the capstan through a pinch roller separator 5', and the capstan is stopped. After the temporary stop has been released, the tape 1 runs at a constant speed by the reverse running portion, and the recording phase of the prescribed track is made to match the phase of a control signal. The occurrence of disorder in a joint of a VTR picture is prevented even when recording is restarted after a temporary stop, by means of a simple constitution. |
