Lifting tackle for treated goods, esp. for hot galvanised iron has a travelling trolley (6) with cable drum (14) from which the cable (16) runs to the goods via a slit-shaped opening (64) located in an intermediary deck (790) and having a replaceable seal (66,68). Guides located between the opening (64) and the drum transpose longitudinal movement of the cable, as it is coiled and uncoiled, into vertical movement in the direction of lift through the opening. The guide has a roller (24) mounted with a vertical swivel axis such that the longitudinal axis of the cable leaving the guide roller (24) is aligned with the vertical swivel axis. The roller is movably mounted on a bearing bracket (26) with hinge-like projections through which pass a vertical bearing bolt (34). ADVANTAGE - The sealing method protects the lifting tackle from damaging emissions arising from the galvanised iron.
