PERFLUORO-CROWN EHTERS IN FLUORINE MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING

摘要

Process for recording 19F magnetic resonance images of body organs or tissues comprises injection of an aq. isotonic emulsion of a perfluoro-15-crown-5 ether (5-25 wt.%) into the body organs or tissues, and prodn. of the body or tissue spectrum with a high resolution 19F nmr spectrometer. The process is an aid for rapid clinical analysis and diagnosis, e.g. the presence of tumours adjacent to the cerebrospinal system or brain.
