PURPOSE:To prevent the sudden fall of the concentration of developer from occurring when the developer is replenished by positioning a developer replenishing means within the range of angle 60 - 180 deg. on the upstream side of a rotating direction from a position where a developer feeding means is pointed to an aperture when the developer feeding means is pointed to the aperture. CONSTITUTION:The developer feeding means 9 and the developer replenishing means 6 are respectively formed by members which are rotated by identical angular velocity and in an identical direction. Then, the developer replenishing means 6 is set so that it is positioned within the range of the angle 60 - 180 deg. on the upstream side of the rotating direction from the position where the developer feeding means 9 is pointed to the aperture 10 when the means 9 is pointed to the aperture 10. That means, the developer replenishing means 6 and the developer feeding means 9 are set so that they are mutually synchronized and they have the above phase difference. Therefore, since the developer fed by the developer replenishing means 6 is fed to a developer carrier at a proper time by the developer feeding means 9, almost real value of a developer quantity is detected by a developer quantity detection means 8. Thus, the sudden fall of the concentration of the developer is prevented from occurring when the developer is replenished by a developer replenishing tube and a stable image is obtained for a long time. |
