PURPOSE:To obtain an image holding member which has high abrasion resistance and withstands many sheets of copying by providing an insulation layer consisting basically of a multifunctional polyester acrylate resin and dispersed with a lubricant and a polisher on a surface layer. CONSTITUTION:In an image holding member for holding electrostatic images and toner images, the surface layer thereof has an insulation layer consisting bascially of a multifunctional polyester acrylate resin and dispersed with a lubricant (e.g.; polytetrafluoroethylene, etc.) and a polisher (e.g.; aluminum oxide, etc.). The results are smaller surface resistance, better abrasion resistance, superior image characteristic, and the possibility of preventing damaging by cleaning means. The resultant member withstands 500,000-1,000,000 sheets of copying. |
