A map search device, a method, and a computer recording medium thereof are provided to enable a user to conduct map searching conveniently and simply with a remote controller only, even though a pointing device such as a mouse or a keyboard is not equipped. A user inputs a key of a remote controller(52). A type of the inputted key is decided on(53). If the inputted key is a 4-direction key, a pointer of the current regional node is analyzed(54).
