A biocatalytic reactor comprises a column (1) provided with pipes (7, 8) for feeding and discharging the liquid and divided by perforated partitions (2) into sections (3, 4, 5), each of which is provided with pipes (9, 10) for feeding and discharging the catalyst. Arranged in the lower part of the column (1) is a chamber (12) connected to a source of compressed air and connected to the lower section (5) through the perforated partition (2), the adjacent sections (3, 4; 4, 5) being interconnected through liquid overflow devices (14).
