<p>PURPOSE:To sterilize a food in high efficiency by providing a plurality of washing tanks each having an ultrasonic vibrator, supplying vegetables, etc., successively to each washing tank with a conveyor to effect the ultrasonic treatment of the vegetables and treating the vegetables on the conveyor with shower of water treated with an ultraviolet treating apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of box-shaped washing tanks 1 each containing an ultrasonic vibrator 2 are provided. Conveyors 3 are extended between the washing tanks 1 and an ultraviolet irradiation apparatus 6 is attached to a part of water-circulation machines 4 attached to each washing tank 1 and each conveyor 3. Bud vegetables, cut vegetables, etc., are successively transferred to each washing tank 1 with the conveyor 3, treated with ultrasonic vibration to facilitate the attached general sundry germs and sprayed on the conveyor with water-shower treated by the ultraviolet irradiation apparatus 6 to sterilize the sundry germs. A food can be sterilized in high efficiency without using chemicals, radiation, etc.</p> |
