TREATING METHOD OF RADIATION- SENSITIVE MEMBER

PURPOSE: To suppress the trend where an image is subjected to blinding by applying an aqueous solution including ethyl hexyl sulphate to a member after development and prior to burning-in. CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution contains preferably 5-50 vol.% of ethyl hexyl sulphate expressed in terms of 40% (w/v) aqueous solution and preferably 3-10 wt.% of citrate, e.g. potassium tricitrate. The aqueous solution has pH preferably in the range of 3-7 and preferably 1-3 wt.% of citrate is used for conditioning pH of the aqueous solution. Furthermore, a surfactant exhibiting good wetting characteristics is preferably added in order to spread the aqueous solution surely and sufficiently over the entire plate surface. A suitable surfactant contains 0.1-1 vol.% of dodecyldiphenylether disulfonate and a modified linear alkylpolyethoxylate.
