<p>An elongate flexible element for use as a glazing gasket comprises a main body (10) integrally formed with a tear-off strip (15) extending along the length thereof, the tear-off strip being connected to the main body (10) by a zone which may be readily ruptured to enable the strip to be detached from the main body. The effective thickness of the glazing strip may therefore be reduced, if required, by removing the tear-off strip (15). Adjacent the rupturable zone there is integrally formed with the gasket an elongate strip (18) of material which is harder and less flexible than the material of the main body and tear-off strip, so as to facilitate the tearing-off of the strip (15).</p> |
