PURPOSE:In a cell having an assembler where the inner can for containing the plate group wound spirally around the current collecting rod of the electrode and the sealing board applied with the sealing packing are integrated, to facilitate the injecting operation of the electrolyte and to make uniform the quantity by forming the liquid path directing to the outer-circumference in the inner face at the flange section of the inner can. CONSTITUTION:The negative pole current collecting rod 2 is wound spirally to produce the plate group 1 where an inward flange section 3a is provided and the upper section of the current collecting rod 2 is projected from the inner can 3. The negative pole constituting the plate group is constructed by pressing the metal lithium board to the current collecting net having one end welded to the current collecting rod 2, while the positive pole is constructed by burying the current collecting net in an agent forming material containing the manganese dioxide as the active substance. A sealing board 4 fitted with a sealing packing made of polypropylene is provided at the outer-circumferential edge. A plurality of radial grooves 3b are formed in the inner face of the flange section 3a to be used as the liquid path then conducted with the groove 3b to provide the longitudinal groove 3c in the inner face of the inner can. Consequently the permeation of the liquid to the outermost circumferential section of the plate group is promoted.
