A separable inverter for motor compressor is provided to replace only the power unit in order to change the compressor capacity by detachably mounting the power unit in the motor housing. A separable inverter for motor compressor comprises a motor unit including a motor housing(100) in which an electric motor is provided, a compressing unit including a compression housing(200) in which a coolant compression device is provided, and an inverter(300) consisting of a control unit(310) and a power unit(320) which are electrically connected. The inverter supplies the power to the electric motor and controls the operation. The power unit of the inverter is attached to/detached from the motor housing, and the control unit is attached to/detached from to power unit.
