<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to promote proliferation of T cell, etc., by coding a polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence into a cloned gene. CONSTITUTION:mRNA corresponding to IL-2 derived from a mammal cell (e.g. T lymphocyte) having ability producing a polypeptide having human interleukin 2 (1L-2) activity is subjected to reverse transcription to complemental DNA (cDNA) to afford a gene having an amino acid sequence expressed by the formula and capable of coding a polypeptide exhibiting 1L-2 activity. Then the gene is inserted into a plasmid vector pTrS-3 to prepare a recombinant DNA, which is then introduced into Escherichia col, etc., to provide a transformed cell. Then cultured product by culturing the cell is purified by precipitation by ammonium sulfate, dialysis, chromatography, etc., to recover the polypeptide having human interleukin 2 activity and about 15000 dalton molecular weight.</p> |
