PURPOSE:To transfer an image of good printing quality even to plain paper low in smoothness by dispersing particles prepared by microencapsulating both of fine ferromagnetic particles and fine carbon black particles with a thermosetting resin in a thermoplastic ink layer. CONSTITUTION:Microcapsule particles 3 are formed by encapsulating fine ferromagnetic particles 5 and carbon black 6 in a flocculated state by a thermosetting resin. In a process for transferring an image to paper low in smoothness from a recording medium, heat energy is conducted to an ink layer 2 at first by a thermal head and ink is thermally melted to become a state suddenly lowered in its melt viscosity and the ink good in flowability falls on paper even when the paper and the ink layer are not in a contact state to be transferred to said paper. At this time, when the paper is low in smoothness, the molten ink is easy to exude to paper fibers by a capillary phenomenon but the molten ink of this invention does not exude because the mutual flocculation of pigment particles becomes strong on the paper. |
