When bushes are impregnated with a lubricant, in the movement of an oil-free chain, the lubricant favorably flows out through the pores of the bushes. Accordingly, there can be realized inhibition of oil film breaking at a slide area and favorable oil film strength, so that the oil-free chain can exhibit favorable wear extension resisting life. The oil-free chain (1) comprises, alternately interlocked, a pair of outer plates (4,4) interlocked by means of pins (5,5) and a pair of inner plates (2,2) interlocked by means of oil-impregnated bushes (3,3) designed to allow insertion of the neighboring pins (5,5) of the neighboring outer plates (4,4) therein. The oil-impregnated bush (3) is obtained by impregnating a bush with a lubricant of ISO-VG grade 46 to 460 kinematic viscosity, 95 mass% or greater content of the component whose content is the greatest among elution components obtained by GPC, 800 to 2300 number-average molecular weight and 1.0 to 1.2 ratio between mass-average molecular weight and the number-average molecular weight. |
