PURPOSE: To realize use in two modes of the track and the road by providing an articulated vehicle comprising two vehicle elements, one intermediate joint, and three axles, providing a side guide roller on the peripheral side of a wheel on the outer axle closer to each end of the vehicle, and steering the outer axle from a nearest driver's cabin in a manually steerable manner. CONSTITUTION: Vehicle elements 3, 4 having respective symmetric driver's cabins 12, 12' are connected by one vehicle joint 5, comprise forward and rear axles 6, 6' and an axle 7 provided at the position approximately coincident with the vehicle joint 5, one vehicle element 3 or 4 of an intermediate axle 7 becomes a two-axle bus element, while the other becomes a single axle bus. The axles 6-7 are provided with wheels 8-9 which are turnable, and restrictive at the straight position, and a side guide roller 13 is provided at the side position of the wheels 8, 8' of the forward and rear axles. The side guide roller 13 is engaged with a rail side guide piece 28 to achieve the track guide. Two modes are available in the constitution. |
