摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thrust bearing having oil sealing mechanism with less oil leak by installing a spiral in type groove, which drags fluid into the shaft axis side depending on the direction of rotation, on the fixed side of a compressor side sliding surface of a thrust bearing. CONSTITUTION:A thrust plate 5 and a thrust plate member 7 are fixed to a rotary shaft 4. A thrust bearing 10 fixed to a housing 1 is provided between the thrust plate 5 and the thrust plate member 7. A sealing member 11 provided with a recessed part 11a that receives a plate part 7a of the thrust plate member 7 is fixed to the housing 1 in such a manner that the sealing member 11 is in pressing-contact with the thrust bearing 10. The surface of the thrust bearing 10, which is in the face of the plate part 7a, is provided with a groove 13 of a spiral-in type. Owing to this groove 13, oil mist and air are dragged into the shaft axis side and sent with pressure to the turbine side. This reduces consumption of lubricating oil for the thrust bearing 10 and prevents oil leakage.
