USE:A fundamental remedy for diabetes capable of activating regeneration of pancreas B cells of a diabetic. PREPARATION:For example, RNA is extracted and separated from a human pancreas extracted by operation using the conventional method and subjected to the oligo(dT)cellulose column chromatography process to separate a poly(A)<+> RNA. A cDNA library is produced using the separated poly(A)<+>RNA as a template and human reg cDNA is subsequently selected by cloning. The selected human reg cDNA is subjected to enzyme treatment, then bonded to a bector, subsequently introduced into a host and cultured, thus obtaining the objective new reg protein from the cultured material. |
