PURPOSE:To obtain the catalyst consisting of a high-strength and large-sized structural body suitable for a large-capacity denitrifying device by impregnating a slurry of a catalyst compsn. contg. sulfuric acid matter at a specified ratio or below in a sheet-like material made of ceramics fibers, then drying and calcining the material. CONSTITUTION:Salts, such as antimony molybdate, ammonium paratungstate or ammonium metavanadate, are added to the metatitanic acid slurry prepd. by a nitric acid method and after the slurry is kneaded under heating, the slurry is dried and calcined to form the catalyst compsn. confined in SO4 ratio to <=2.0wt.%. Water is added thereto to prepare the slurry and the sheet made of ceramics fibers is immersed therein. The high-strength catalyst molding is then obtd. and the catalyst of a large size and shape is easily obtd. |
