<p>PURPOSE:To shorten an orthodontic time by forming at least one of the bottom surface and both inner wall surfaces of a notch groove into a curved surface. CONSTITUTION:For example, after the first false molar 6 is extracted, orthodontic brackets A are bonded and fixed to the surfaces of individual teeth at first. Next, one round wire 4 are provided to the individual orthodontic brackets A under tension along the notch grooves 3 of said brackets A and both ends thereof are fixed to the band 8 wound around the first left and right molars 7. A canine tooth 10 is moved by the sliding of the notch groove 3 of the orthodontic bracket A bonded and fixed to the canine tooth 10 on the round wire 4. Herein, since the notch grooves 3 is formed to each wire support 2 so that both inner wall surfaces 3a, 3b and bottom surface 3c thereof become curved surfaces, the round wire 4 and the notch groove 3 are brought to a point contact state. Therefore, friction resistance becomes low and, as a result, the notch groove 3 of the orthodontic bracket A bonded and fixed to the canine tooth 10 becomes possible to slide on the round wire 4 smoothly to be capable of contributing to the shortening of an orthodontic period.</p> |
