PURPOSE:To accurately detect the time for the completion of gear shifting by setting a judging valve for the completion time for gear shifting by the step of multiplying a rate of change in input shaft revolution at the time of starting gear shifting by elapsed time, adding input shaft revolutions thereto, and furthermore multiplying the resultant by a gear ratio. CONSTITUTION:The control unit 41 of an automatic transmission 32 compares turbine (input shaft) revolutions from a sensor 62 with a specified judging value so as to detect the time for the completion of gear shifting. The judging valve is set up as the engine revolution at the time of the completion of gear shifting by the step of multiplying a rate of change in input shaft revolution at the time of starting gear shifting by elapsed time since the time when the gear shifting has been started, adding the shaft revolutions at the time of starting gear shifting so as to obtain estimated engine revolutions, and furthermore multiplying the resultant by a gear ratio before and after gear shifting. Thus, the time for the completion of gear shifting can thereby be accurately detected regardless of operating conditions before gear shifting is started. |
