PURPOSE:To obtain a material to be recorded imparting an image excellent in the color developing properties of ink, color properties, water resistance, light resistance and an indoor shelf life by composing the material of a base material and a pigment layer mainly comprising aluminum oxide particles mounted onto the base material and containing an aluminum polyhydroxide and/or aluminum polychloride compounds. CONSTITUTION:A material to be recorded consists of a base material and a pigment layer mainly comprising aluminum oxide particles set up onto the base material, and has an aluminum polyhydroxide compound and/or an aluminum polychloride compound. A compound shown in [Al(OH)]3]nAlCl3 (n>=2) is cited as aluminum polyhydroxide, and a compound shown in [Al2(OH)1Cl6-1]m (m>=1) is quoted as aluminum polychloride. It is favorable that the material to be recorded contains these compounds within a range of 0.01g/m<2>-5g/m<2>, water resistance is insufficient when these compounds are included in 0.01g/m<2> or less, and ink absorptivity and picture density are lowered when these compounds are comprised in 5g/m<2> or more. |
