PURPOSE:To rapidly compute the position of a centroid even in many processing areas by accumulatively computing and storing plural calculated results in each processing area after scanning one picture of an image pickup device, reading out the accumulated result and calculating the centroid position of an object. CONSTITUTION:When a measuring period signal is raised, respective accumulating operation processing is executed. When an window signal from a window memory 4 is raised, '1' is added to the count value of a window counter 12. During the rise of the signal WD, respective operation is executed by an arithmetic circuit 8 and the processing is stopped at the trailing edge of the signal WD. On the other hand, data corresponding to the addition of '1' to the value of the counter 12 are read out from a rapid memory 10. The read data goes the address of rapid memory 11 and the accumulating operation result of a horizontal scanning line window obtained up to the time is read out. At the falling of the signal WD, an adder 13 is driven to add the operated result of the circuit to the accumulating operation result read out from the memory 11. In the write mode of the memory 11, the added result is written in the address. |
