PURPOSE:To make it possible to uniformly supply lubricating oil to each cylinder by arranging lubricating oil sub-gallery between the first and the secondary cylinder lines, and the third and the fourth cylinder lines. CONSTITUTION:Cylinders 1-1-1-12 are radially arranged in four lines centering round a common crankshaft 2. The four cylinder lines consists of four cylinders respectively and is lined up along the direction of the crankshaft 2. Hereupon, a main gallery 31 for supplying lubricating oil and sub-galleries 32, 33 for supplying the lubricating oil supplied therefrom to the lubricating portions of the respective cylinders are arranged in the direction of the cylinder lines at the nearly middle position of the respective cylinder lines in a cylinder block. Consequently, the length of lubricating oil supply passanges from the main gallery 31 via the sub galleries to the respective cylinders becomes almost equal so that the lubricating oil can be uniformly supplied to the respective cylinders. |
