PURPOSE:To form double-sided copies so as to correctly match the tops and bottoms of pictures on both surface and back by providing a means instructing a direction in which originals are set to an original holding part when a double- sided original copying mode is selected. CONSTITUTION:When the double-sided original copying mode is selected, plural originals possessing pictures on their single sides are set to the original holding part 201; the set originals are alternately carried into an original exposing part and a picture producing part by carrying means; the pictures on the originals which are carried into the original exposing part are copied onto the back of the originals carried into the picture forming part. In this time, the directions, in which the originals are set to the original holding part 201, are instructed by the original setting direction instructing means 86: An operator sets the originals according to the instruction. Thus, when pictures on even- numbered pages are directly copied onto the back of odd-numbered pages, pictures can be formed to correctly match the tops and bottoms. |
