<p>PURPOSE:To dissolve troublesome operation for start of a vehicle by deciding coupling characteristic of a clutch due to the setting content which is set by a setting means according to the load condition of the vehicle, and also deciding the gear position of a geared transmission at start. CONSTITUTION:When a key switch SW is at ON position, it is discriminated in a control unit 6 whether an internal combustion engine 2 is in running condition or not, and in the case of YES, it is discriminated whether the gear of a transmission 4 is in the neutral position or not. In the case of NO, it is discriminated whether a vehicle speed is zero or not, and in the case of zero, the select position selected with a selector 15 is discriminated, and the gear position for starting is selected due to the discriminated result. A starting gear position and coupling characteristic of a clutch is decided corresponding to the setting voltage signal from a setting apparatus 18 for setting the required running feeling according to the load condition. Running of the vehicle is controlled, corresponding to the selected starting gear position and the decided clutch coupling characteristic.</p> |
