<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate waste and to enable the size and the cost of a cooling device only for a fundamental device by a method wherein an additional cooling device for cooling an option device and having a heat exchanger can be additionally mounted. CONSTITUTION:A cooling device to cool and circulate liquid by which a heat generating body, e.g. an electronic device, is cooled is formed with a fundamen tal cooling device 1 for cooling a fundamental device 11, and an additional cooling device 14 removably mounted to a fundamental cooling device 1 for cooling the additionally installed device 12 added to the fundamental device 11. The fundamental cooling device 1 is provided with a pump 5 having capacity responding to an amount of heat generated by an electronic device of an expan sion maximum scale created resulting from addition of the expansion device 12, and a heat exchanger 2 capable of cooling an amount of heat generated by an electronic device of a minimum scale having no additional installation, a fan 3, and a source unit 7. The additional cooling device 14 shares a pump 5 with the fundamental device, and is provided with a heat exchanger 15 capable of cooling an amount of heat generated by the additional device of the addi tional device 11, the fan 3, and the source unit 17.</p> |
