A paper fibre length measuring instrument, comprising a capillary tube, through which the fibres to be measured, in a liquid, are passed, and having on one side of the capillary tube a light source and on the opposite side of the capillary tube a photocell from the results of which the lengths of the fibres are determinable. The photocell comprises a diode matrix of which the diodes calculate the fibre length from the image of the passing fibre. |
