PURPOSE:To always obtain optimum differential limiting torque by forming a cam face on one of two members relatively rotating due to rotating speed difference generated between right and left wheels, and generating differential limiting torque due to reciprocating movement of a radially arranged cam body provided on the other member. CONSTITUTION:A rotation difference sensing type differential limiting means 2 in a differential means 1 transmits a driving force by differential limiting torque from the high rotating speed side to the low rotating speed side, when rotating speed difference is generated between right and left wheels respectively connected to output shafts 16, 15. The differential limiting means 2 is provided with a driving piston 40 reciprocatingly moving in the radial direction due to co-working with a com face 21 at relative rotation of a case cover 20 and a rotor 30. When volume of a cylinder chamber 50 is brought to be smaller by movement of the piston 40 to the rotating shaft center, pressure in the cylinder chamber 50 is raised due to flow resistance by a plate valve 90, the piston 40 is pushed to the cam face 21 by the receiving pressure force of the piston 40, and this force is actuated as the differential limiting torque.
