<p>PURPOSE:To decrease omission of detection and to improve picture quality by providing a 1st processing circuit applying time spatial processing to an output signal of a movement detection circuit and a 2nd processing circuit applying time spatial processing to an output signal of the 1st processing circuit. CONSTITUTION:The signal processor is provided with a separator circuit 2 separating a luminance signal and color signal from a color video signal, a scanning line interpolation circuit 13 interpolating the scanning line of the video signal, movement detection circuits 18, 19 detecting the movement of a picture from an inter-frame difference signal of the video signal, a 2nd processing circuit 17 applying time spatial processing to an output signal of the movement detection circuits 18, 19 and a 2nd processing circuit 14 applying time spatial processing to an output signal of the circuit 17. Then movement information outputted from the 1st processing circuit 17 is supplied to the separator circuit 2 and the movement information outputted from the 2nd processing circuit 14 is supplied to the scanning interpolation circuit 13. Thus, the movement information (k) with less detection omission is fed to the separator circuit 2 and the movement information k' whose detection accuracy is sufficiently improved is supplied to the scanning line interpolation circuit 13. Thus, the deterioration in the picture quality is reduced.</p> |
