PURPOSE:To manufacture a rigid core material, not fragile, hard to break, hard to fold, quickly restored if folded and hard to distinguish folded lines by heat pressurizing, foaming phenol resin in the form of covering polymerized with a network sheet and a polyester non-woven cloth adhered to a fiber laminate and foaming the phenol resin. CONSTITUTION:A mat-shaped fiber laminate 2 constituted of woody fibers is stretched uniformly on a conveyor 1a in constant thickness is formed and the laminate 2 is transferred onto a conveyor 1b, and powdery foamed phenol resin is sprayed from a hopper 3 on the conveyor 1b. The same is transferred into an oven 5 with a heater 4 on a conveyor 1c and heated thereon to fusion weld the phenol resin. Then the laminate 2 is turned upside down, transferred onto a conveyor 1e and resin is sprayed by a hopper 6 similarly, and the laminate is transferred into an oven 7 to fuse the resin. Thus, a network sheet 8 and a polyester non-woven cloth 9 are overlapped on the laminate 2, to both faces of which phenol resin is fusion welded. The same is cut by a cutter 10, which is disposed between recessed and projected molds 12a, 12b installed on a press 11 and heat pressurized and molded. A core material of high stiffness strength is manufactured by this arrangement. |
