PURPOSE:To obtain a composite antenna usable for both a non-directional antenna for communication and a loop antenna for direction finding by using one antenna element in common to both the antennas and providing a simple function changeover unit to the element. CONSTITUTION:When switches 3, 4 are thrown to the position (a) and contacts 31a, 32a and 4a are closed, a balancing signal from an antenna 1 is converted into an unbalancing signal required for a radio equipment by a balancing/unbalancing converting circuit 5 and the result is fed to the radio equipment. The characteristic of the loop antenna is kept in this case so as to constitute a direction finder receiver. When the switches 3, 4 are thrown to the position (b) and contacts 31b, 32b and 4b are closed on the other hand, the balancing signal from the antenna 1 is outputted as it is to a terminal 7 via a matching circuit 6, resulting that the antenna 1 is merely equivalent to a rod object, it is used as a non-directional unipole antenna and the non-directive communication function is attained. |
