Device for closing a container of the type having a generally parallelepipedal shape with four side faces, one bottom face and one closing face forming a lid, the side faces being articulated and obtained by folding, the four side faces 3a, 3b, 4, 5 are connected to each other, by at least one flexible, tightening and sliding tie 7 intended to assemble the said side faces and such that when the lid 2 of the container is open and the tie is released, the side faces spread out and the container opens completely and that, subsequently, simply by pulling on the tie, the side faces come together and are assembled so as to close the container again, the tie being held tight by any known means. <IMAGE>
