The present invention relates to a method of intensive truffle-growing of an industrial nature. According to the invention, the method consists in preparing the environment 6, where the rooting of the host-plant 16 of the truffle will develop, by delimiting in a precise manner and improving its homogeneity, its granulometry and its composition, by virtue of the removal in strips, to a depth of between 20 and 30 centimetres for example, of the surface layer of the ground by mechanical means, the earth 6 thus removed being sieved to adjust its granulometry and remove from it undesirable articles such as large stones, foreign bodies or roots, then replaced in the trench 1 obtained after having arranged on the bottom 2 and on the two sides 3, 4 of the latter a screen made of rot-proof and tear-proof geotextile 5 which is permeable to water and to gases but cannot be passed through by the roots 17 of the host-plant 16, the latter, after mycorrhization in a nursery, then being planted in the earth 6 of the trench 1, to which there will have been added any elements which are missing or present in insufficient quantity, such as limestone, organic materials or others in the course of a mixing intended to improve its structure, given that the earth extracted may be partially or completely replaced by an added earth which is suitable to the type of truffles to be cultivated. It is intended to improve to a great extent the yield of the truffle cultivation, by controlling the development of the roots of the host-plant as well as the composition and the structure of the cultivation environment. <IMAGE>
