PURPOSE:To transmit effectively a motion video signal by correcting the interpolation position of the sample value which is delayed and interpolated based on the position information obtained by adding the shift information on a prescribed sample position between adjacent fields to the motion information on the picture detected at the transmission side. CONSTITUTION:At the transmission side the input video signal is intermitted by a switch S1 and then subsample is transmitted. At the same time, the information on the motion vector related to the input picture detected by a motion vector detecting circuit 3 is transmitted separately. At the reception side the sample values of sample points (X marks) read out of a frame memory 1 are once sent to a motion vector correcting circuit 2 to have a position on a screen where the interpolation is performed with the best one of those sample values (X marks) and on the basis of the vector information transmitted separately. Then an inter-frame interpolation signal for correct interpolation is obtained via a switch S2. |
