The present invention relates to a support element for a trim strip, produced from a plastic material with hard elastic give, used for fixing trim strips or protection strips or mouldings onto support walls, such as the metal sheets forming the bodywork of motor vehicles for example, and it aims more particularly to provide a support element allowing relatively wide mouldings, of the type which are commonly used on buses or lorries for example, to be fixed, even if the fixing holes made in the bodywork are not perfectly aligned. <IMAGE>
